what to do with this site

on

So I created this blog simply as an exercise while researching a story on blogging for the Albany Democrat-Herald and Corvallis Gazette-Times Sunday paper. I just wanted to see if it really was as easy as the blogging sites say it is. And, it definitely is that easy.

Then as I was writing the story I realized that I had uncovered some interesting information about blogging (stuff I found interesting anyway) that I simply would not have room to include in my article. So I had the brilliant idea that I could perhaps post some of that information here and people who read the article and are intrigued could read more about blogging here.

Sunday editor Mike Henneke and Lifestyles editor Lauren Howry gave me the go-ahead, so here goes.

It has since occurred to me that my article is aimed mainly at non-Internet-savvy people, as others will probably already know about blogs, and these readers may not be the ones with the know-how or interest to take it upon themselves to go online and find this page, but we'll see.

I was trying to post a comment on the web-site interview, but it wouldn't let me. Anyway, here in Seattle we have these web-designers scattered on almost every corner holding signs that read, OUT OF WORK COMPUTER GEEK, WILL BUILD A WEB-SITE FOR A HOT MEAL. GOD BLESS YOU. Like I need anymore competition.
